Im 14 and my little sister (10) and I are being raised by our older brother Brandon, 19 (dont ask about mom and dad, please), and I accidently got my sister in trouble. Last night She asked me if she could go out with a friend and her mom and I told her yes but she had to call our brother and see what time she had to be home. He told her 7:30. Well a little bit after she left she called me and said they were going out to dinner and for me to let Brandon know and I said ok. Well, I left to go out with one of my friends and completely forgot. She didnt get home til 9:30 and my brother was fuming. Apparently she got owned when she got home for being "late" and worring my brother. He's not a physical person but I guess he was really worried. Anyway, I told her I'd tell him it was my fault but she wont let me. She doesnt want me to get in trouble. I'm still gonna tell him . He's an unbelievable big brother and loves us but How can I tell him so he understands without getting in trouble?

the best you can do is tell him the truth and tell him that your really sorry. Let him know that it was your fault that she was out late, and promise to make sure to never do it again. Guys typically forgive a lot faster than women, and he will be over it in a few days if that. The young make mistakes and its those mistakes that make people mature into healthy smart adults. its owning up to those mistakes that truly makes the difference

Just tell him the truth. You made a mistake and forgot to tell him. If he's so great like you say he will understand. Hey, everyone makes mistakes. No big deal.

Do the right thing. Start with "I am so sorry that you were worried about sis. You work so hard to care for us and you really rock. I was supposed to tell you that she was going to be late but my teenage brain let it slip. I feel terrible that you were worried."

i'm sure he'll understand. he maybe be frustrated, but he's not going to be that mad. last night he was just worried and overreacted. today he will be fine, and probably feel bad when he hears what happened. just be honest, tell him your sorry, explain that it was an honest mistake, and promise you'll try to be more responsible in the future. i'm sure he'll be fine with it. you won't get in trouble. it happens to everyone, and he'll understand.

Tell him, first, that you are sorry. That wipes clean your whole side of the problem. I think that you really need to tell him. Just don't wait to long...

She should have never put you in that situation, shame on her!!! It's NOT your fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's her fault for not doing what she should have done - talk directly to your brother...
She's the one who will get into trouble - NOT you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
