Ok, I know what diesel is but is biodiesel a more environmental form of the fuel or just sounds like it? We have a new company moving into our town which will be producing this as well as a lot of jobs.

Biodiesel is made from or partially from readily availabe resources, like corn oils peanut oils etc. they are friendlier to the environment. And it has potential to help us cut our dependence on foreign oils.
