Great expense of health care and the rising cost of generally everything. I don't think paychecks are keeping pace with the rising cost of living. Also the sudden upturn of gas prices.

The two largest issues today are health care and Iraq. The inability to reach a comfort zone on Health care is largely the fault of legislators permitting large corporations to back out of promises to elderly and that is directly related to politicians putting their personal interest above those of the people. The Iraq problem is the fault of planners of the occupation and the fact the success of occupation of Japan and Germany after WWII were ignored. Most people blame Bush but the fault goes down to the military planners who formed the plans. Like most senior officers of any corporation the President and Defense secretary were at the mercy of the military commanders. Just as they hung Carter out to dry during the Iran mess back in the late 70's they ignored history and led us into that mess in Iraq.

George Tenant bears the overall fault for permitting false information to prevail at the prewar meetings. Now he is trying to make money off his failed leadership. He should be looking at jail time instead of retirement riches.
