Actually, to the first person to respond, there are not only two options: there are also menstrul cups available, both disposible and not, for example the DivaCup or the Keeper.

To the person who actually posted in the first place, I had the same problem. What kind of tampon are you using? I was using the Tampax Pearl kind, and I could not get them to work. So, I switched to Playtex Gentle Glide, and they worked better and didn't hurt to go up. Now I use regualer old cardboard one, and they work best for me. I would suggest trying out differnt types and brands of tampons before giving up completely.

Good Luck!!!!

My experience was the same, but when I used tampax with the full applicator I have no problems. It takes a while to get it right, but the non applicator ones can be tricky at first. RELAX most important part!

I have the same problem, you may not be able to use them. I have had to quit using them and use pads. I am not happy about it but there are only 2 options. Sorry.

Aim at a 45 degree angle [ towards small of your back ].
It goes behind your cervix, and can be very uncomfortable if in front of it.
