Remind him a day or to before your birthday, with a suttle hint. And go buy yourself something expensive, next time he will remember because he will not spend the money you spent. Say " Oh look honey what you got me for my birthday" if he says i didn't get you that or that is too expensive then say "well next time you buy my gift for me, and i will not have to" Bet he remembers next year

You need to first forgive him for forgetting your birthday 2 times in the (4 years of marriage). Maybe you should start reminding him now by putting it down on a calendar or leave him a note the day before your birthday as a reminder, or even tell him that you want to go out to dinner for your birthday. We all forget things at times when we get so busy in our daily lives.

Just go to him and give him a hug and tell him that the most important thing is being married to him. Don't let this destroy your marriage.

Don't hold it against him. I have been with my husband for almost 10 years and he still can't always remember my birthday. If I ask him what day it is he has to think really hard and he's usually off by a day or two, but I love him anyway. We have a very good relationship other wise, so forgive him. Some people just aren't' good at that kind of stuff. Just get a calender and put it somewhere it can't be missed and put your name on your birthday with a big red circle around it to help him a bit.
What really matters is that he loves you and you get along with each other.

All you can do is drop little hints....my wife forgets my birthday, she also has to really think to remember our anniversary. Now she is the most loving and caring person in the world. I could not have asked for a better partner and friend. Everyone is wired a little different. For him I'm sure he is like me and our own birthdays are nothing but another day. Guys dont put much importance on birthdays. So give a reminder or two and try not to take it so personally. P.S. My wife friend calls her the week befor mine so she wont forget it.

It doesn't mean that he doesn't care, It just means that he's absent minded. The way I see it you have 4 choices:
1) Be honest, let him know how it makes you feel, and ask him to try and remember next year
2) Actually remind him next year, but in a joking non nagging way like say a few days before, "I can't wait to see what you got for my birthday" or "don't forget we're going out for dinner on my birthday."
3) Be sneaky and make sure he'll remember next time by setting something up. Is there a calendar in his office or your house? Write it on the calendar for next year (along with other events so he doesn't feel like you're being pushy), or set a reminder on his phone or his computer, something that'll jog his memory.
Or you could ask him to set himself these reminders if you both know he's absent minded.

May I first say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!

Well...I am a grudge holder so I would go out with friends and not tell him at first. Then when he calls because he cant find you let him know that your friends felt it was an important enough day not to forget...
then next year remind him 1 month ahead of time, then 2 weeks before and then one week before. I have come to the conclusion that even though birthdays are important for us to remember men arent exactly the best at these important days.
Or let him know that you are very hurt and will be doing something nice for yourself that day if he cant remember

Write it on the calender for him. Guys tend to be pretty dense sometimes and you have to spell things out. It's not very romantic, but they like it when you tell them exactly what you want. Like "I want you to buy me a diamond necklace for my birthday on March 27."

Put it in a reminder on his cell phone or his day planner. He should remember then.

Also let him know that it's really important to you. Yeah, I know he should already know that, but some guys just don't see that. To me birthdays are important, to my husband, they are days when you get older and not too much else. My dad is the same way, but more so.

Men will be men. You don`t want him to forget your birthday ? Do as I do, one week prior to your birthday start talking about it! Name a few things he could get you or places he could take you to. After 15 years my husband could not remember the day we got married, I never held it against him. Don`t sweat the small stuff life is hard enough as it is.

Men don't pay very good attention to dates. I won't rely in my husband to remember...so I just talk about my birthday for a while in advance. He's not being deliberately negligent. I'm not all that great with dates either.

Don't expect him to remember...let him know. Ask him the night before what he wants to do for your birthday? We usually go out to dinner, so we make plans in advance. He can't forget your birthday that way...and you don't have to get mad at him later.
