Dodge City, Kansas
Circa 1876
A huge storm was a brewing. TUMBLING TUMBLEWEEDS shot down Front Street. Old buildings swayed by the force of the wind. Miss Kitty had closed the Longbranch early.....she had NEVER done that before. "SHAME ON YOU, Miss Kitty," said the cowpokes as they were ousted out the swingdoors. "You gonna let a little wind scare you?!" They mumbled and grumbled as they made their way outside. One lone cowboy refused to leave. "Ahhhh, Miss Kitty, wouldn't you like me to spend the evening with you upstairs. I KNOW you want me!" Kitty glared at him....."I'LL WANT YOU WHEN MY BLUE MOON TURNS TO GOLD AGAIN....now get out!!"
"Your blue moon does WHAT," he asked in a puzzled voice?
"How the hell do I know ?! Just GET OUT...NOW!"
Dodge City was deader than a raw fish on a tin plate in December. Everyone had gone to their homes. Kitty slowly and sadly headed upstairs. She went into her room and opened the closet. There ,in a small box, she kept an old photograph of the only man she ever loved....Matt Dillon, U.S.Marshal. Ever since he had left her for Sunshine MacGillicutty, Kitty's world had crumbled. " I'M WALKING THE FLOOR OVER YOU every night," she said as she caressed the faded reminder of love lost. Another lonely night ........she tried to resist opening a bottle of Randy Scouse Git Rotgut . "Oh, what the hell," she said as she downed her first of many drinks.
Just outside of town, heading South toward Dixie, was the small farm belonging to Sunshine. As of late, Matt had begun to make it his home, as well. As Sunshine was fluffing up the pillows on the couch, Matt came banging through the front door. The force of the wind nearly knocked him over!! "Okay...I have enough wood to last us quite a spell." She watched him as he put some logs in the fireplace. Soon the fire was roaring and Matt settled on the couch with her. He smiled as he thought of the BOUQUET OF ROSES she had delivered to his office, just that afternoon. There had been a note attached......."To my sexy, sweet, sugar from his lovely, libidious, lunatic." He put his hands on her shoulders and faced her......"SunnyMac....I LOVE YOU SO MUCH IT HURTS."

One night I was "Walking The Floor Over You'. I was thinking "When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again" I would send you a "Boquet of Roses"
Later on, I found out that you threw my roses away, "Shame On You"! I felt so despondent that I ran blindly though the "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" The pain I felt from their prickles reminded me that "I Love You So Much It Hurts
