Just stay in bed and don't get too stressed (stress can put you into labor...easily)!! I was put on Brethine with my youngest daughter when I was about as far as you are. 1.5 centimeters is just enough to tell you to really take it easy but don't panic. You're in good hands with your doc and even if they do arrive early (which twins often do), medical technology is better than ever and their chances are VERY high. Good luck and congrats with your babies!!

Try to be strong and calm. Definitely stay on bedrest, it is the best thing for you. The more time your babies spend in the womb the better off they will be.
I just had a preemie in February. She was born at 28 wks. I initially went into preterm labor at 24 wks. I was admitted to the hospital for 2 weeks and sent home on strict bedrest w/ a brethine pump. She managed to hold out to 28 wks. She came home @ 36 wks ( ago 2 wks) and she's doing great. I also had a baby @ 30 wks and he is now 3 and he is a perfectly healthy little boy.

I'm a mother of twins, although they are 22 now! I wouldn't worry about the bedrest thing, they did the same thing to me. Having twins automatically makes you a 'high risk' and that's why the doctor does this. Just because you had some contractions is no reason to worry. I had a ton of fake contractions when I was pregnant with my twins. They were born 5 weeks early, but other than that were perfectly healthy!
Good luck!

well what I can suggest is to find something you like to do, and bring it with you for where ever you are going to rest. Find someone who is willing to be there and help you out, and just get ahead on some sleep your going to be wishing you had in 16 weeks, I am sorry you got put on bedrest so far from your due date, I am actually a twin myself and the same thing happened to my mother but I think she was 29 or 30 weeks... good luck hun...

Wow bedrest would be so difficult, but you have to listen to them and stay in bed!!! It is what is best for you babies. I'm sure you are, I am not saying you are not. So keep on resting, you will not have much of that once the babies are here!! I know lots of people who have to be put on bedrest and everything went fine and it will with you too! Congrats on the babies and I am definately thinking about you.

Well think of the advantage (Glass half full mind set) You have time to read all about twins and what to expect.
I would have someone go get you books from the library on twins. I would read all kinds of books on pregnancy of twins to.
Get on a yahoo chat that has multiple births and make new friends. ( I figure you have a lap top since your on bed rest. if not get out of the chair and go to lay down lol.)
Try not to worry to much and start a craft you can do laying down. Knitting whatever you can think of.
Have your hubby seek council once a month so he can let out any concerns he has. Either a doctor or a Doula or even your pastor with help him on his side of things..... he now is in charge of the house stuff, *oh my.*
Good luck hun, if you want to email me about anything please do so.

Why haven't they put you in hospital? Have they given you any meds to stop the contractions? This is a very serious situation. I would get a second opinion on what course of action should be taken. Don't let them push you around if you are feeling really anxious (goes without saying really) go back & get the answers you need NOW!!!! Good luck with everything!!!

It basically relies upon on the transport fees. i've got saved money via procuring there, yet there is been many greater situations that it is not this type of competent deal because of the fact sellers cost plenty for transport. whether you may get a cute blouse for $a million.ninety 9, if the shippng is $6.ninety 9, it is fairly no longer such very much because of the fact the completed cost is $9.00. i like previous army & toddler hollow for boys & women. remember with toddler clothing, however- even however those are your first & i be conscious of you're excited- infants strengthen sooooo quickly & you quite do no longer elect multiple garments, so in case you purchase too plenty, you quite heavily isn't saving money, the two. given which you're nonetheless at 24 weeks, basically save checking back and see what they have, you may get some thing right here and a few thing there.... you have time to look ahead to the good deals, fairly than getting in spite of you notice. in case you detect some thing on Ebay you like, bypass to that keep's internet site, and evaluate it to what it would be in case you ordered promptly. quite with previous army, it is not constantly very much to bypass by Ebay because of the fact previous army's transport is often $5, no remember how plenty you purchase. in case you will locate cute stuff on clearance, plus the $5, that's often greater cost-effective just to reserve from previous army. wish this facilitates.
