Okay... I have not fallen in love with anyone... just to clear that air.... as for the difference... If you were blind and you fell in love with someone you have never seen them, but Meeting them is completly different. I thought this was interesting when someone else brought it to my attention the other day.

Of corse...I have only been inlove once. I called my friend Trevor one night. He had a guest. Trevor was busy with something so his friend answered the phone and, explained.
I said "oh well would you please tell him Belle called?" He said "oh the infamous Bella!" We got talking, exchanged numbers...and he called me every night for 2 weeks. The night before we met he told me he thought he might be inlove with me. I told him I knew I was inlove with him! When we met the next day...well it was beautiful anyway (blush). We were together for awhile but, needed different things, we just couldn't work it out. I married another man 2 years later (and divorced him shortly after) Cos was the only man I ever loved.

I think it's possible to fall in love with the idea of someone.
You can have seen people and never met them...and I suppose if your eyes are closed or you're blind, it's possible to meet someone and not see them.
I think love based on appearance is superficial anyway. But just the same, I think true love can't just be based on that "idea of someone". One may think it is love, but it is not full-blown, all consuming, multinatured love in all senses of the word. More like infatuation.

I think it is possible you can fall in love with someone you have never met. If you believe in fate, then there should be no reason not to have a connection with another individual. A relationship has to be based on faith and communication. Without those two elements, the link will remain broken.

Yes and I married him. We met on a role playing game six years ago. We fell in love with each other before we even knew what the other person looked like. Now we have a son and are very happy together.

I think falling in love with someone you've never met is the stuff of poetry. The ideal lover etc.
As for falling in love with someone you've never seen, if you're blind when you meet them you can still fall in love.

Ive only seen Colin Firth in Movies, and Ive never met him, yet I'm in love with him! J/K :>) My answer is no, not really, you can't if you haven't seen or met them. You need at least one of the two to fall in love. When I met my husband, and saw him flex his muscles, then I fell madly in love. I still am too. ^_^ Lol!

I don't understand how anyone could fall in love with someone they've never met. You really can't learn much about a person's character unless you've spent some time with them in person.

I have a friend that swears she has fallen in love with someone that she has talked to a few times on the net. I don't know if it's possible or not but she seems to think that it is.

I think there can be an element of love there. However, compatibility is a whole different story. You may work with someone verbally, but when it comes to living with him, it could be different. I think you can love them though.
