Put some rosin on the bottom of them. I know they have it easy accessible for the pointe dancers, and at competitions there should be some on the side of the stage. If not just ask around and find a store near you that sells dance supplies. They will more likely than not have rosin. Just make sure not to overdo it, you don't want them to be to slippery but if you are going to be doing a lot of pirouettes in your dances then you want them to be easy to turn in.

Are you looking for traction on the bottom of the shoe?
I thought jazz shoes where supposed to be like that.
Consult a shoe repair shop.

Get a damp paper towel and put it on the shoe. It helps to make it less slippery!

at a dance store they typically sell these pads that are normally used for tap shoes, but they can be used for any type of shoes. they are just these pads that are adhessives that you put into the back of the heel of the shoe. by doing this your feet willn't slip anoymore because the pad makes the shoes shorter. they really work!

when playing sports in highschool when a gym floor was too slippery we would spray our hairspray on the shoes to give a little traction and it seemed to work.

normally with new shoes they are less slippery than when they are worn... i dont really think there's a way to fix them but you could try talking to your teacher/coach or the place where you got them or even your local dance supply shop...good luck

i think what dance diva is talking about is a heel gripper usu used in pointe shoes.
they look like this http://www.discountdance.com/frame_set.php3?mf=/dancewear/page_GIFTACC_p1.html
if the bottom of your shoe is slipping try using rosin (they have some on the same site as the heel gripper pic above)
