OK, just promise not to get envious, ok?

I now live in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic. My apartment is on the fourth floor, and it has a nice rear balcony facing the Franciscan gardens.

Downstairs is a type of mall. You can have gourmet Chinese food, Czech food, go for ice cream at a place that was famous even in Communist days, visit a travel agent, buy skateboard clothes and paraphernalia, get some plants for your place, exchange money, buy a camera, a fresh roasted chicken, or eat sushi.

Downstairs is also a movie theatre. Just recently I hurt my knee, so every night I just go down to the first floor and catch what is playing at this "art house" theatre. Just saw "Babel".

If I walk directly across the street, I could buy something at Diesel or get a bagel. If I walk one minute in any direction, there is practically nothing I cannot buy or eat.

The National Musuem is at the top of Wenceslas Square, only a 3 minute walk away. Old Town Square, the epicenter of tourism, is about 3 minutes in the opposite direction. Now for the best part: transportation! The metro, I'm not kidding, is directly below this building. I don't even have to go outside. The tram stops right in front of the building. If it rains, I won't even get wet.

Prague is full of theatres for plays. It's unbelievable.

I used to live on a farm too, but I liked it. When I moved here, it was a complete change of life, but I immediately loved it.

I used to live in an itsy town and moved to the city just last year. As much as I love it here I'm really glad I had the experience of small town life first.. it's something many people never get to experience first hand and it can give you a well rounded view of the world. Be patient but don't give up on your dream of moving to the big city. You'll make it happen! Good luck.

It's not all that it's cracked up to be. It convenient, but listening to dogs bark, sirens, traffic, sometimes gunshots, it's not really my cup of tea, not to mention housing tends to be smaller and more cramped in the city. I prefer to live in a suburb outside the city. You still have the convenience of the city, you just don't have to deal with the congestion. I wouldn't want to live out in the country, although at night it's probably very peaceful.

You're not from America, are you?

It's great! Everything is at your fingertips. There are also lots of places for entertainment-- malls, stores, aquariums, zoos, movie theaters, etc.
