If you e-mail them as someone suggests they would never be read, just deleted.
It depends on how many you have to mail. It would be a good idea to go to the post office the first time to learn of your options, or call 1-800-ask-usps.
I know that Mary Kay sends out their catalogs for their distributors, so they are mailing hundreds of thousands at a time and get a cheaper rate. But you would noty be able to reap the benefits unless you are mailing out hundreds of them at least. Have you asked other Avonites what mailing options they use?
Someone may suggest Media Mail, however that is NOT an option, since you are sending out advertisements.

I, too, LOVE timber, and am somewhat annoyed that there is such an way over direct mail, yet I do all i will to decrease, reuse, and recycle timber, paper, plastic, glass, and different such products generally thrown away in our modern-day day society. on the different hand, besides the shown fact that, anthropomorphizing "mom Earth" is reminiscent of putting "her" on a pedestal as being equivalent to God, and that i'm easily no longer gentle with that. yet I even have finished self belief in Jehovah God's promise, discovered at Revelation 11:18, which reminds us that he will guard this challenge . . . . very quickly. Rev 11:18 - (NIV) - "The international locations have been indignant, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the ineffective, and for worthwhile your servants the prophets and Your people who revere your call, the two great and small— and for DESTROYING people who ruin THE EARTH."
