I always feel I have two personalities. and one of them(personality #1) are nice, confident, and have a lot of friends. It's the one I show to everyone else. Other people even talk to me many times about thier worries but the other one has no confident, worries, cares about even what I can't change.

Can I pretend to be the personality first?(pretnding sounds bad but I don't know how to say in other word. It's more like being conscious or making yourself believe what you want to be or how you want to think.) What is gonna happen If I keep pretnding like that in front of everyone else? Can I honestly be the personality #1 without being conscious? Some people here told me that I should be conscious about whom I want to be or how I want to think like.

Feelings come and feelings go, but they don't make the real you. I believe that the real you is the person that you want to be, yet you have feelings of inadequacy, that you need to deal with. Every person feels inadequate at times, but that doesn't make the real you. As you accomplish things in your life your feelings of inadequacy will go away, because you have done more positive things. I own a business, and I sometimes feel inadequate, but I've never let that stop me from being who I really want to be.

There is no difference between thinking of being something, and actually being it besides the veritability of your belief. You're the one in control of what you are in total. When you truly believe you are something tell me the difference between that and acting it out to the eyes of others. You're the primary factor. The alpha and the omega, the beginning and the ending of what you are in total. Simply make a point of it to believe that you are it. Choose not to see yourself in the eyes of others. Be independent and show your strong confidence to yourself. When your mind is not entertained by the reactions and thoughts of others, you become completely genuine.

Embrace both sides. You are not two seperates but this are just aspects of you. If you feel an aspect in yourself which is not confident and worries this is okay. It will also have a purpose for you that you feel that and you will find out. It is for example good if a person is "wise" that this person has an aspect which also doubts his wisdom from time to time, as the most wise person might err from time to time and if you are not always confident but sometimes not confident this is perfectly okay and its also okay to admit this to your friends.

You're your best social aspect of your personality. That person you display to the society and the one that comes out spontaneously is the real you. The other one is a futile self denial.

i dont think of it as pretending, you are diverse and have various aspects to your personality,,,,,, the public one you show to others, and most of us only sometimes show our private selfs, to those closest to us,, the doubts,, lack of confidence etc.,,,,,,,,,, i am sure there are parts of you that are confident, and some parts that are not,,,,,,,, so dont think of it as two personalities, but as various aspects of your personality,,,,,,,,,, i think its best to allow yourself to be different ways,,,,, depending on the situation,,,,, but do keep in mind you are creating the type person you are, so yes thinking positive is a good thing, at the same time,, totally being positive all the time, to me, is a lack of maturity,,,,,, as there are dark things, and dark sad thoughts,,,,,
i use to be overly kind, thought the best of the world, now as i mature, i still am kind,, and treat people well, and like to hope for the best, at the same time, i see the down side,,,,, and sometimes i act kind to spite the unkind people, if that makes sense,,,,, it is all part of who i have developed into, the self i have created

Sure you can pretend to be what or who ever you want to be but please be careful that your pretense does not control you.
