Ferdinand Magellan???

Did Ferdinand circumnavigate the world under Spain or Portugal??? I always get them mixed up.

Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who sailed for Spain.

and technicallly he DIDNT circumnavigate the world as he was killed in the Phillipines........one of his captains was the first European to make it all the way around and back again....
