Is it anything I can do to clean my registry without buy a registry cleaner?

There are lots of free registry cleaning software but your best bet is don't mess with the registry, chances are you or the software will delete something it shouldn't and then your PC is not going to boot or run properly, but if you insist try the link below

You should back up all your data and reinstall windows xp every 6 months to a year.

Try this free / safe cleaner: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm Just run the clean-up scanner, you must use IE to go there.....

You can't trust most of them, but this one is ok...
