why do some people continue to apologize for nixon while others hate him?

Watergate opened many peoples eyes forever to the corruption that goes on behind the scenes in Washington.

The watergate scandal caused people to lose faith in big govt. More blacks strayed from the republican party because of nixon.
Hopefully, the candidates that are vying for the top spot can restore our faith through substance and not fluffy talk.

Nixon sold out US electronic manufacturers to the Japanese via a company called Matsushita. Nixon is just as rotten as Bush.

Of course Nixon was "ousted". The American people were thoroughly disgusted. About like they are with this present administration

It SHOULD have told us that if the presient of the US shoul die suddenly, or resign, the country will go on, thanks to The Constitution.
The mail got delivered, the banks were open, schools didn't close, there as no martial law, and basically, life went on.
Where else would there be such an orderly transition of govt other than here, or countries who modeled their consitition on ours?
I see it happening in England . Germany, Canada, but try seeing this in Iran or Venezuela??? LOL.

Nixon lied. Repeatedly.

Who wants to trust an office where power is abused with no hope of real sanction or punishment for the levels of abuse the criminals commit?
