I'm glad she's here. I watched her arrival on TV today.
I saw her once, years ago, as she toured Canada. I think she's one classy lady.

With all due respect to you, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll is not just the Queen of England, she is actually Queen Elizabeth ll of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. She is also Queen of a few other places as well....see here...
Following Elizabeth's accession, a decision was reached by Commonwealth Prime Ministers at the Commonwealth Conference of 1953, whereby the Queen would be accorded different styles and titles in each of her Realms, reflecting that in each state she acts as the Monarch of that state, regardless of her other roles. Traditionally, Elizabeth II's titles as Queen Regnant are listed by the order in which the remaining original Realms first became Dominions of the Crown: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (original dominion), Canada (1867), Australia (1901), and New Zealand (1907); followed by the order in which the former Crown colony became an independent Realm: Jamaica (1962), Barbados (1966), the Bahamas (1973), Grenada (1974), Papua New Guinea (1975), the Solomon Islands (1978), Tuvalu (1978), Saint Lucia (1979), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (1979), Antigua and Barbuda (1981), Belize (1981), and Saint Kitts and Nevis (1983).
In case you didn't know Great Britain consists of...
England
Scotland
Wales
God Save the Queen!

I am. It's pretty neat how 400 years ago, Capt. John Smith came here from England and now the Queen arrives. I wonder what John Smith is saying looking down from Heaven.

From what I hear on the radio, I guess a huge number of people were. Far more than the authorities had been prepared for. I think it must be a very special feeling to participate when events come full circle like that.

It is rather exciting, but not as exciting as if Prince William had came. But she's probably going to pass my section of VA on her way to the KY Derby. She's probably going to fly there instead of riding down there in a limo.
