Wait until you miss your period.
Let's say you're pregnant and find out before your period but you still get your period, meaning you had a miscarriage. How would you feel?
WAIT until you miss your period. It's the best way to tell for sure. Besides, what's the rush?

Well, normally, you would wait until the first day after you would normally get your period. If you don't get your period, that's usually a sign that you are pregnant, but not always. Not getting your period can mean a lot of things. Also, you can have your period, and still be pregnant!
But it's just about timing. It takes about 5-9 days after ovulation before you might get a positive result on a pregnancy test, at the earliest. It takes longer for some people. Two weeks (after ovulation and sex) is the general rule.

The reason you have to wait until you miss your period is because the test looks for pregnancy hormone HCG that don't start building in your system until after the egg implants itself into the wall of the uterus (this happens around the time you would miss your period and that is why some women experience spotting). If you take a test early, you haven't given your body enough time to build up the hormone. Typically it will double every 48 hours.

Yes it's wise to test after your missed period or within 3 days of the start of your period. It takes some time for your cycle to work and it won't show up on the test right away. Go to the pharmacy and read the boxes for the pregnancy tests. They explain when to test to get the best and most accurate results.

Yeah, the hormones don't show up in your urine for a few weeks. Usually you'll find out for sure about 2 weeks after your missed period. I didn't even know when that was for me though, because I spotted for a few days at the time when I was supposed to be having that "missed" one. Go to your doctor, too. Thier tests are more accurate.

If you know the date of you next period, wait until then, and if you don't start you period, then take a test. When I found out I was pregnant, I took two pregnancy test. And they both came back inconclusive. But, I knew I was pregnant. So I waited about 5 days and then took another test at my hospital. I was pregnant!!

you have to wait till your missed period because the uterus only starts producing the hormone that the test detects after the embryo implants. That doesn't happen till 10-14 days AFTER you conceive. Since you ovulate about 14 days through your 28 day cycle, if you conceive on day 14, it means that the embryo won't implant till day 24 AT THE EARLIEST and that is only 4 days before your period is due. The hormone HcG doubles every 3 days. So if it does implant at day 24, the hormone isn't strong enough to be detected till about one day before your missed period. So testing about 6 days AFTER your missed period gives off enough of the hormone for the test to detect it.

YEs, well there are some that will let you test 5 days early but they are only 68% accurate. (read the fine print in the commercial.) For best results you need to wait till you miss your period. And it test for levels of a hormone in your urine/blood depending on where you do your test.

You do have to wait until when you're supposed to miss your next period because by then, there will be enough "pregnancy" hormone in your system for the test to find/catch/read. By then its like 4 weeks.
I would suggest getting more than one test, peeing in a cup and holing the tips in the cup because this works more efficiently than peeing on it directly.
Good luck!

That's not true - you don't have to wait until your next period. You can take a test right away. If your not having a normal period, take another exam in a week or so - You didn't state your age - are you going through hormonal changes? stress? new diet? It could be from many other things - if your exams continue to come out negative - check with your doctor.
