yes you can but the pc memory will run at the lower 533mhz speed instead of 667mhz, for the average user you will not notice any difference

Well... it depends...
generally speaking, yes you should have no problem.
But you should check the compatibility between your mother board and the brand and model of your memory...
For instance, i have a lenovo laptop and i have compatibility issues caused not by speed but because of the memory brand.
