It could be that you computer is overheating and shutting down to stop damage. I made my computer and i have got 6 fans, one big one on the front , one on the graphics card, one on the processor, one on the side and one at the back. It still gets quite hot!!!

Try opening the case and pointing an electric fan towards the motherboard. Power on your PC and run an application (3D Mark or Super Pi 32M). If the problem does not occur, you may have poor case ventilation or your processor's heatsink fan is not providing enough cooling or your processor's temp limit in BIOS has been set TOO LOW (adjust it in BIOS). Install a temp monitoring software like Core Temp, Everest, etc. to verify your overheating problem.

If the problem still occurs w/ the open case test, check your RAM. If you have two sticks, plug in one at a time then run your computer. You may be able to identify w/c stick is causing the problem. OR run memtest for a more comprehensive test of your RAM.

Hi Try Motherboard Monitor to see how hot your CPU is getting. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=311 My DIY is liquid cooled and runs quiet and cool. Also check for dust in the HSF.
