1. Mitosis divides the copied nuclear material evenly. No cells are joining together. One cell divides to make two daughter cells.
2. Fission (bacteria cells divide into two daughter cells), budding (yeast or sponges make new offspring out of bumps that form on them), spores (plants produce spores by mitosis, and the spores can make the next generation).
3. Skin cells are short-lived. They wear out and fall off, so skin cells must be replaced continuously.
