Because most of the richest 5% are cons. They own like 78% of the wealth. And are far richer in the last 61/2 years what with gas prices, interest rates, government graft and their low tax rates.

Ya, but the really interesting thing is that they often like to have things "both ways."
If you've noticed, some fundie participants will claim or hint that Christianity is the majority or "dominant" religion in America.
And then, next thing you know, they're claiming to be "under siege" as if they're the underdog.
Example: the specious "war on Christmas."
You're either the majority or the minority ~ choose one.
American politics (like any other country's) tend to move like a pendulum.
Back in the 60's we had Woodstock, the west coast music scene, Vietnam and the related protest(s).
Next, we had Reagan and the "X Generation."
Then things swung the other direction for a while, and then with 9-11, they went slightly to the right again.
Now, we obviously don't have a "mission accomplished" and people are getting fed up with all the BS.
I'm waiting for someone to (seriously) suggest re-implementing the Draft. THEN...you'll really see the **** hit the fan.

It is a neocon mindset. They are so narrowly focused as jingoists would be that they see nothing around them but what is in the focus. It is like looking through a funnelf from the big end to the small. It tapers ever so smaller as it goes down. We will see if they change their tune when the Democrats win by a landslide next year. Oh, they'll be wailing as if they were banchees at an Irish wake. You will be able to tell who supports whom. On election night look at your neighbors windows. If they are black about 8 or 9 pm they voted Republican. If the lights are still on they voted Democratic. The Republicans will have given up by then and the Democrats will want to hear election results over and over again and again.

I don't know where you get your information about Conservatism. But I know it isn't from Conservatives.
I am baffled about a person who dedicates such a great deal of their time exclusively to spreading negative stereotypes and misrepresentations of another group of Americans.
This is what our fine Liberal institutions are pumping out. Mindless parrots.
