I have an old computer that has no usb ports. Yikes, I know! But for school I was given a great all in one printer that uses USB. I see adapters for parallel ports to be changed to USB, but nothing so far for a USB to be used for parallel.

Please list the link(s) where you found the product. Thanks a bunch!

The drivers would not likely work right, and the parallel port may be too slow for that printer. If you have Win98SE or better you could get a USB PCI card:

That will let you use other USB devices too. (If you want USB 2.0 support I'm pretty sure you'll need at least Windows XP SP1.)

You will never see an adapter to convert a parallel port into a USB port; The parallel port is slower than a USB port.

To add usb ports buy a PCI to USB card, $10.

USB 2.0 (Intel) 60 MBps
Parallel port 0.5 MBps to 2 MBps

I do not recall ever seeing one. USB has been around for so long now I do not think that there would be much of a market.

If you are on a network you could try a USB print server, and use it as a network device. It would work for the printer, but I am not so sure for the scanner half.
