I think whoever said that is a fool. I known full grown adults who love harry potter. Some may not like the movies as much as the books because the movies are never an exact replication of the books and that bothers adults.

No! I think J.K.Rolwing made the Harry Potter books for all ages. I know my mother likes the Harry Potter books and films just as much as any other adult fan and children that like Harry Potter!

I am in my 40's and I have enjoyed all the movies.
My sister is younger, but she and her husband are fanatical about the series.
The appeal of the series is that it is a children's (more like teenager 10+ than children's) book that is such a good read that it captures the attention of adults. The profit at the box office and the book's arrival on the best seller list shows just how popular this series is with a wide audience range.

Harry Potter definitely not just for kids. both the movie and the books have things that can interest adults and children. I also don't think that J.K. Rowling wanted her books for just children.

JK Rowling actually started off writing Harry Potter as designed for an adult series. So I definately do not think that it is unusual that you feel this way. They are well written and have interesting plots with many twists and hidden secrets, which should be enough for anyone to like them.

I dont think so, the last movie they made was rated PG 13 I think PG 13 is a pretty big rating 1 step from R rated and the 13 year olds arent really kids but not adults so I think they are teen movies but only 4 and the others a little childish
