My brother is 7 years older than me. It was rivalry in my childhood years. At 14 for a brief period he really tried to get to know me. Then he turned into Mr. Dad :(
Now that our dad is back it's definitely love.
It fluctuates.

Sibling rivalry is a kind word to describe the jealous, manipulative, lieing cow that I genetically have to call a sister.

Sibling love. My siblings are both older than I am and we support each other in bad times, and have a lot of fun during good times. I know some people who still fight like cats and dogs with their siblings.

Probably a bit of both. When I was a kid (and I was in the middle), I was always scrapping and fussing with my two sisters. Now that we're older we enjoy being together. Sibling relationships change over time.

sibling love. we are truly best friends. not always the case since i am 6 years older than her but we have been best friends since i was 19 years old!
