I'm not planning on cheating on my wife because I am a wife. My husband has not been faithful to our marriage vows and I would like to know under what circumstances a man would think this sort of behavior is acceptable.

You husband stepped out on you. I'm sorry he felt the need. I'm sorry if it hurt you. He will do it again too because in some way he is not getting "fed" on some levels. It could range from emotional, psychological, and or sexual. At the end of the day, a man still needs to feel like a man. They want to be around a woman who doesn't need constant validation and reassurance. They get tired of a womans insecurities. A woman should be a lot more easy to talk to than she is. Stronger for herself than she is. Little things send them out. Little things like blowing up his cell phone during the day. Checking his calls or text messages when he's home - whatever you imagine he can be doing he probably isn't until you make it so. Women going crazy over a man cheating is so American. In Europe a man can have flings but their woman is doing her own thing and as long as he comes home to her she is happy. She may not like it but feels she is more important to him than the sex he is having with another woman because they have built a life together. This is what is important. I also understand that I don't speak for ALL European women/men or American women/men. If you have to ask then I do believe you need something more out of the answer than what you'll ever get here on YAHOO. See a marriage counselor. Do it with or without your husband. But don't drive yourself crazy and don't make him crazy especially if you want him home with you, loving you, being faithful to you. The more you make him a dog the more he'll look for a dog house in some one elses back yard. I wish you luck in whatever happens. :0)

It should be studied in two separate dimensions, In terms of fun and when he can really cover everything and has a good amount of self-confidence, It is barely possible that a man dose not get into a relationship even if he is a president ! but if the fun continues and becomes a real problem, then you should really seek the root in the weak relationship between the two, I mean if the wife rules her husband's heart, she is the sole king of the territory, there is no room for the others to enter ! So if the case is the fun, please arrange such an environment for him that he prefers the peace and joy full moments with you in which he gets all the outside fun in home, but if this is a serious case, again please audit your won behavior, Either way, the Key is in your hand.

Owen is right---truly loving someone would completely prevent a man (or WOMAN, for that matter) from cheating, even if only for the fact of HURTING their mate so deeply.

Even if the other spouse id refusing sex, if you can't live without it, then DIVORCE before getting it elsewhere!

None. If you love the one your with then there are no circumstances that would make you cheat. Only men that have no feelings or care for there spouse would have circumstances. Really maybe you should be asking yourself why is it that I'm asking questions only a whore would ask because they are trying to sleep with married men?

Obviously, not a good choice, but one made out of desperation. I'd say it's a result of a hopeless situation where neither of their needs are being met. I believe that love uncared for will die, then it is possible to fall out of love as easily as you fell into it. People have needs, and after enough abuse or neglect, those needs must be met.

Having sex is embedded into our genetic code. Say all the b.s. emotional crap you want women, but men don't think that way. If you're religious then that's just the way god made us.

It is basic instict to reproduce and spread our seed. If you deny that then you deny the whole idea of reproduction. Just like women cry when men cheat on you. It is because you would rather have him all to yourself so he can reproduce with you. Even if you don't realize it, that is part of your genetic code that is similar to men's need for sex. I have never really understood jealousy, and I don't agree with it's existence. Just realize, Christian beliefs or not, you DO NOT own a person and you cannot justify telling that person he or she cannot have sex with someone. If they want to it's going to happen, it's their choice not yours. If it bothers you then sorry, but good luck finding a person that would NEVER cheat on you.

Cheating would be anything that breaks the ruls. I would cheat if I felt the rules were unfair or unmanagable.

For example, if she stopped having sex with me altogether, that would be something we would need to talk about. If she refused to talk about it... she made a promise to be there for me physically when we were married, she broke her promise first.

Cheating is usually a symptom of a bigger problem in a relationship or it is the individual personality.
