Without knowing the guy, my first impression is he was honest, if a little too direct. If you two are constaintly argueing, the probablity it will work in the long term is slim. You can work on it, but he's thinking there is too much drama. I've been here, and my ex never thought there was a problem. Ask him what he thinks needs worked on, and try to listen and discuss the issue at hand.

Before you spend all that cash on an extrodianary wedding, make sure it'll be worth it. If you fight a lot,and are off and on as Bf/Gf then the marriage is a witiless idea. My uncle and aunt have been divorced numurous times and fight about everything. It's another reason not to get married to someone you don't love(Or at least think you don't)

be thankful he told you the truth, its better to here it now, than to marry him only to have him leave you later. You need to work on your insecurities before you even think about a serious commitment you will be a lot happier, and yes he is saying he is not sure you are the one, but only because you so argumentative, cool it and try to be more self assured

Your boyfriend is a GENIUS< he is so correct about the argueing, good for him to sticking to his guns and bringing that point up,,
you cannot have a happy relationship and get married if you are already fighting,

I believe he is committed to you, and you answered your own question, saying you bring up the past. If you stop that you would get a better commmitment from him

take it at face value. he's obviously mature enough not to rush into a lifelong commitment w/o being sure. yes, i think he's saying he doesn't know if he want's a commitment with you. sorry.
