This is slightly different, but every time I watch Independence Day, the part where they have figured out how to destroy the spacecraft makes me wince, because they show a shot of soldiers from another country and I think the line is something like...
"The Americans have come up with a plan:"
The other soldier says either,
*Finally,
or
*Thank God
as if they were just waiting for the Americans to come up with the answer 'cos no one else would have the brains to do do it!!!
