If a couple are fighting and the guy calls the girl a name or something like that and she slaps him .. does that give him the right to strike her back? Just want to see opinions on this. Know people on both sides on this one. Also PLEASE spare the noone should hit anyone comments.. we all know that but that was not was I am asking.

you can't hit her back regardless. if you do, then your a puss$$$. Take it and get in your car and cool off then dump her, unless you had it coming.

If he didn't want to get slapped he shouldn't have called her a name in the first place. For the record I would have slapped him right back and then kicked him out for being crazy enough to hit me and call me a name.

Her slap would be a tickle compared to the damage he could do (unless she's bigger and stronger than he is, which is doubtful), so I don't think hitting her back is on option. If he was smart, he'd give her a "mental slap" and simply call the cops with a domestic violence complaint.

i dont think the man should hit woman unless she is actively attacking him and he needs to defend himself. even then hitting should be a last resort. mainly, it's because a man can really hurt a woman (not all woman as some are really stout) but when it comes to the courts they almost always side with the woman. it would really suck having to sit in jail and wait on bond just because the guy pops the girl in the head.

umm I'm gonna have to say No!! Guys sometimes don't know the power of their strength. When a girl slaps a guy in the face it probably wont hurt him as much as it will when he does it to her. Now if they are wrestling then thats a differnt story

She had no right to hit him just because he called her a name.And no he shouldn't hit her back,He should just walk away from the situation before things get out of hand.

in the old days 30 years ago a man could have struck his wife and the cops would do nothing. nowadays u go to jail. men should not hit their woman in anger but only in self defense. me, i don't believe in hitting women.

every guy knows his place in the house is to be the provider and protector of his family. and male in the animal kindom are mostly head of their domain.
in the case where a female now try to take that part (slapping him), it treatens his autority .as such if he takes the slap and didn't react he feel he lost that head of autority .
that was why he react the way he did. its in our nature to react like that.

this situation does not allow for the guy to hit the girl. he called her a name and all she did was slap him. if she was kicking the ever lovin' sh*t out of him then yeah, it might be okay to defend himself.

Violence begets violence so keep your hands to yourself then there is no reason for anyone to hit you. Additionally, everyone has a right to defend their self against a violent attack so when you hit him...
