It depends on their terms and condition ....
Usually free hosting companies do not guarantee their service and they reserve the right to close your account any moment." nope nothing about this,

And it was accindental but i would like to get some cash i have made over 2000+ posts in my forum and over 1,000 pages w/ forum and main site. it was a runescape fansite, rune-nation.net

unless you suffered real fiscal damages from their accident (why didn't you have it copied to you local hard drive in the first place?) you won't get anywhere... you're not paying anything for it... so what reason would you have to seek restitution? - other than greed of course

You can try but you better have a lot of cash up front for an attorney to handle it. Odds are it won't get far in court unless you can show that they were malicious in their destruction of you website and that it was not an accident. Also, whatever you could get in a settlement will probably be a lot less than what it would pay you in time and money to take the case to court.

If you risk any money lost then you better pay a little for hosting.

One of the cheapest and most reliable solutions in my opinion is:

300gb space, host unlimited domains, lot of preinstalled stuff ... 99.99% server up-time!!!
