Is North Carolina a Mid-Atlantic State?

Guess that depends on who you ask. Physically NC is in the mid-Atlantic portion of the US seaboard, but culturally and historically it is a southern state.

Demographically, you can argue that it's getting that way, but I think it's still culturally southern for a good while longer.
