I love looking for shoes especially high heeled ones - but I have two problems - 1. Im about 5'7 and when I wear heels any taller than 2 inches I start to feel tall like a man - I'll stand next to men and be almost as tall as them and I dont know how other women wear heels like that and feel comfortable unless you're like 5'4. 2. I live in a smallish city/big town and its not like New York City or anything where there are any occasions or places are suitable to wear to.

Lol. I 'm in the same boat as you. I'm 5'7" and worry sometimes about wearing heels in my small town. But you know, it's fun to pretend sometimes. I like feeling like I'm a super model living in NY...ever seen the devil wears prada? I can dream can't I? Lol, but go ahead and go with your gut instinct. If you're not comfortable wearing 3 inch nails, then don't do it. If you are, go ahead. Be daring!

Hey, I'm 5"10 and i wear heels now and then but i totally understand how you feel when your next to a guy and your taller then them. Try wearing High heels around the house to get use to them, also try wearing a kitty heel first then work your way up in the size of the heel. If you don't feel comfortable in say a 5 inch heel then don't wear them if you feel uncomfortable. But hey look at it like this all these models like Gisele She's 5"10 and she wears 5 inch heels too. its all about what you feel comfortable in. If I were you, I won't care. I mean, runway models are super tall and they wear heels 24/7. On the other hand, if you really don't feel comfortable, a bunch of stores carry really cute flats.

Honey I'm 5'9 and I'm usually taller or as tall as any guy I meet with or without shoes on. My mama's 5'11 and that don't stop her from wearin heels.
It doesn't matter. You don't have to only wear heels at special places. You can wear them to school or any place you feel like

wear them and be proud - i am 5'8 and wear 3 inch heels and I stand a lot taller than a lot of men - but who cares.

you could try wedge sandals. They sort of look like heels, but they're not too high and are suitable for formal or casual settings. That should solve both of your problems.

feel the power! Heels rock, you shouldn't feel less femine in them, but more! Just make sure you can walk in them! It's okay to bring class to your town, and look sexy and cute and just put together. Guys love it!

I know I just bought a nice pair of heels from fashion bug. they aren't fancy shmancy or anything, but are really cute.
