I went to an all girls school for the most part. We did pass notes to each other, mostly about the teachers. I always got caught and made to read the insulting poem or note out in front of the class, then the Head teacher. Maybe that's why I'm never on time, I was always kept back late in detention.

Funny Story!!
My daughter was in 7th grade and passed a note to her friend about how she felt about an 8th grade boy. She was caught and the teacher took the note and read it out loud in every one of his classes. Therefore, the boy got to hear how hot he was in her eyes in front of everyone! She was very embarrassed for several days.
Turned out that they ended up best friends! And now he is my son's football coach!

yes, in elementary school, in high school there is no need for passing notes, text messaging is lol, i hated it too, and they would always take them and read them, invasion of privacy! and we always got in trouble, like we were really learning anything in the 4th and 5th grade.
