I am curious to see what a plus size woman's belly looks like after it starts to grow. I am a size 17/18 and just found out Tuesday that I'm pregnant. I'm really excited about it and I would really like to see how a plus size woman's stomach develops. I'm assuming they look about the same as a small woman's stomach, just w/ a lil' extra around the middle. If anyone knows where I could go to see some pictures of plus size pregnancies, I would really appreciate the info. THANKS in advance....

This is me when I was 9 months along and was my third pregnancy. I was around a size 20 before and after this pregnancy. Thank goodness I have been able to go down 2 sizes since then. I didn't realize I looked so bad until I saw this picture, I was also due in July and delivered in August...a lot of water weight from the heat! Hope this helps.

I'm 18/20 and it all depends on the type of stomach you had/have pre-pregnancy. I have pics of my belly but not bare...for the most part they have the same "watermelon" or "basketball" shape. It's just for the first few months of pregnancy, at least my best friend and I just felt like we looked really fat and then when our tummies REALLY began to show around 6 months we felt more comfortable with our bellies. After baby...isn't pretty at all but that's what gyms are for once you're ready to go back. Congrats and best wishes! Pregnancy is beautiful on all women I believe AND at least Lane Bryant is carrying Preggo wear for you..they didn't have it during my pregnancy so I had to get all my stuff from Motherhood or online!

Try a search engine. I looked in www.ivillage.com

They have pics of bellies. I am a size 14 and preggers. My belly looks about the same as smaller woman. I am just trying to eat healthy. We as bigger woman do not need to put on as much weight as an average size woman.

I try to eat a lot of fruits, veggies. I try to keep my butter consumption low.

Also I am tying to walk everyday. I am not overdoing it, just 1/2 hour in the am then 1/2 hour in the pm. Hopefully that will keep my legs from getting much bigger. It may keep my BUTT from not getting to large either.

CONGRATS!!!!

Depends on how you are genetically. I started out at a size 18 gained a whopping 14 pounds and never showed any.

I was overweight when I got pregnant and I just did not show right away. And when I did my girth still wasn't as big looking as some smaller ppl. just looked fat for a long time. By the way breast feeding helps lose weight.

Go to http://images.google.com/ and enter stuff like "fat pregnant" or "plus size pregnancy."

NB: some results are a little unpleasant when "SafeSearch is off"...
