What is a god to you? What qualities do I possess that make me a god to an ant?

Imagine this if you will, imagine how big Earth is, its big yes? Now imagine the solar system, its a lot bigger yes? Now imagine the galaxy, huge. Now imagine the while universe, impossible to even conceive. Now imagine the universe is conscious. Crazy huh?

Now, lets say that a child has a magnifying glass, and is using it to burn ants. He lets some ants live and kills others, the ones that he lets live fall down and worship him as a god, why? because they perceive him as having the power of life and death. In their eyes he is a god. But does the child know any of this, no, how can he communicate with ants? From the child's point of view he's just having fun with a magnifying glass, he's not a god. So, in the end i think that it all comes down to a matter of perception.

God is a construct of peoples ideas in order to help them cope with a world that they did not understand and over which they had little control. You cannot be god to an ant because the ant does not believe that you are.

Apply deductive thinking. GOD can not be a mental or physical manifestation because it would be subject to a beginning, a middle or transition period then an end (thus not inmmutable, thus not a GOD by definition), just a mental factor like our own accumulation or what we conventionally call self.

Thus if GOD is not mind or matter, nor a combination of both, nor a cause or effect of either, nor the shape, nor the size, nor the base of either mind or matter...then it must be something else.

If it is something else, it must be outside of mind and matter, which is something you can not contemplate given that all you contemplate must be accomplished through contact of the six senses (including the five physical senses ad perception of the mind or remembrance).

So it follows that GOD is non-existant to our collective mind, but that does not confirm or negate the opposite, not absolutely non-existant or existant.

All we can say about GOD is that we can neither confirm or negate the existance of GOD.

We are not Gods and should never compare our qualities to his. He is such a great man.

The name God refers to the deity held by monotheists to be the supreme reality. God is generally regarded as the sole creator of the universe.[1]

As of 2007, a majority of human beings are classified as adherents of religions that worship a monotheistic God, usually the Abrahamic God of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.[2]

God is my savior, without him I would have made some horrible mistakes that I would really regret at the moment. I feel that he is right here with me, he is close, CLOSER than any other friend could ever be. God is the only TRUE friend anyone can ever have. If you dont belive that, I pray for you!

Well did you create the ant..? Does the ant believe in you or not? Does it pray to you? Does it even realise that you are different from the scenary it walks on day by day..?

I think not- ants have a hive mind and don't think individually.

There is only One God and you can know Him by studying the Bible. It is available to all of His children. He is everything to me and more.

To answer your question about the ant. Ants have no idea you even exist, so you cannot be a god to them, even if you stomped on their pile because even a strong wind can destroy the whole colony.

Since you're interested in ants, why not learn about them. They are fascinating.

God is beyond definition. But according to one's own vision or receptivity, one will define God in one's own way. Some will say that God is all Love. Others will say that God is all Power. Each one will see God according to his own necessity, his own receptivity and, finally, according to the way God wants him to see the ultimate Truth.

I see God with form and without form. I see Him as boundless Consciousness, limitless and endless Consciousness. Again, I see Him as energy, infinite energy. But usually I see the Supreme in the form of a most luminous, golden Being. When I converse with Him, I also see this form. I am extremely fond of this particular form. Here on earth, where we judge beauty with the human eye, we feel that a particular child is most beautiful. But I wish to say that the Supreme that I pray to and converse with is infinitely more beautiful than the most beautiful child on earth.

Again, the same Supreme, who is my Beloved, who is my Pilot, may assume the formless form of infinite Light, Peace and Bliss. But I personally prefer the personal form.

Some people don't even like to use the term "God." The Buddha did not use the term "God." He used the term "Bliss," or "Nirvana." But we have to know that this transcendental Bliss is none other than God Himself. Inside this Bliss is divine perfection and satisfaction. If you want to call it Bliss, you can. And if you want to call it God, you can do that, too. Whatever gives you satisfaction is the right way for you.

if you define it as real, then it is real in its consequences!!

the ant doesnt notice you, it only notices the scent of the other ants, if you possesed its particular scent maybe then would you be even recognized.

It is far simpler to ask what is religion to a person. All religion is ancestor worship.
