Legislation to order for troop to begin returning home by October 1 is vetoed. It is obvious that Democratic Party is acting on a mandate from voters to end the war. Let’s say that Democrats will not be able to get 2/3 to overrule veto. What two more years in Iraq will give America? That is of course if democrat will be in the office in 2009?

I would guess gas prices would hit $10 a gallon, a couple more trillion dollars would get added to the deficit, only 60% of Americans would be able to heat their homes, every large American corporation would be bought out by foreign investors because the dollar was worthless on the currency exchange, wet back Americans would be working in Mexico, there would only be two economic classes left: rich and poor.

More troops dead.......more unstablility in middle east...increased rate of terrorism. and more terrorist coming into action... imbalance in US economy.....more damage to the US reputation in the world....... more Iraqis death(does not matter for US though)..... more political instability in US itself as people are getting against this war rapidly...After russia, more countries may turn against US on this war so effecting the dipomatic relationship....And ultimately US would step down one day.......and secondly if US didn't think wisely and went against Iran for War...then the damage would be even more !! War leaves only negative effect on both the sides but ofcourse Iraq is not in any consideration(pitty hunn).......history has never shown any positive outcome of the war since this time !!and it is well proven fact !!what all we see at the end are the effected nations thinking of their glorious past and wishing the time to come back !!

i'm anti-conflict yet that doesn't recommend that i'm ant-soldier. regardless of how i think about the justifications for the conflict, i do help the infantrymen. the infantrymen did not make the alternative to bypass to the conflict, maximum of them enlisted contained in the provider to get a school training paid for. it really is declared that infantrymen are death the the reason in Iraq because the conflict isn't a justified conflict, and at this second it appears like it really is in ineffective. George W. Bush is destroying us of a through mendacity to the rustic about the justifications for the conflict, and now youthful adult males and females are death for that.

1. further destabilization in the middle east
2. potential full-scale hostilities with Iran initiated in part by our continuing presence and continuing loss of credibility in the region
3. polarization of the region into a more unified anti-US stance
4. further radicalization of middle-eastern politics along theological and extremeist lines
5. US involvement in an openly acknowledged Iraqi civil war
6. increased US deficit

For starters...

And not counting the US soldier death toll.
