If I was her I would pay the $50 million. She has plenty of money saved up from a long standing acting and music career. The money is not a big deal for a celebrity of her status. She can afford it. She took that poor man's wife, the least she can do is shell out some bucks to make the guy's life a little more interesting now that she took his wife away. Money can't replace a life, but it'll give him some more comfort.

Brandy wouldnt last a day in federal prison for Manslaughter. Jailmates will take one look at her and make her life hell. Most inside would know who she is and that's all the more reason they would want to mess with her. She couldnt defend herself or deal with prison life.

Maybe you have more details on the auto accident than I do, but I find no evidence of any D.U.I., traffic came to a sudden stop and there was a chain reaction collision. This happens all the time and yes, people drive too fast and yes, people should pay more attention, but I seen no evidence of gross negligence here. I would fight this civil suit in the courts. It is bad enough a person got killed, but for that to bring out the bald-faced greed of that person's family is much uglier. She was driving her vehicle at 65 mph on a Los Angeles freeway, so she was even driving within the speed limit. It amazes me how quickly people will condemn someone to jail.

They really are seperate, because even if she is found not guilty, she can still be sued fo the death. I think that she should have to do time if she is found guilty like someone else, but I don't know the details. Everyone looses either way, I think, and we shouldn't condemn someone if you don't know all of the story, famous or not.
But to answer, I would pay the money. Freedom is priceless.

These are separate issues! The wrongful death suit is a civil matter. Vehicular manslaughter is a criminal matter.

The civil suit is separate and distinct from the criminal charge. One has nothing to do with the other. Settling with the plaintiff in the civil suit is not going to protect her from a prison sentence or probation.

It's not a choice. She could be hit with both criminal and civil liability. In fact, she could be acquitted of the criminal charge, but found liable for the civil damages.

Does she even have 50 million, I haven't seen or hear of her doing anything lately. She may have to do the time.

SHE DOESN'T HAVE A CHOICE EVEN IF SHE GOES TO PRISON THE FAMILY CAN SUE HER CIVILLY FOR THE MONEY. EITHER WAY SHE IS SCREWED. IF SHE DOESN'T GO TO PRISON SHE WILL BE SUED IF SHE DOES SHE SILL BE SUED. HER BEST BET IS TO TRY AND STAY OUT OF PRISON AND SETTLE THIS OUT SIDE OF COURT.
