Yes I do, people abort babies everyday, I think we could use the medical advances to save the ones already born.

Stem cell research? ABSOLUTELY.

Unfortunately, there is a group of people out there who are working to convince you that we need to "murder fetuses" in order to get these cells. The truth of the matter is that stem cells are available from many sources...Including the fetuses that would already have been aborted, umbilical cords from live births (which are almost always just thrown away!), and even from fully grown adults.

Considering all of this, there is NO REASON why we should not do research using these cells...If we can save lives and eliminate terminal illnesses, I can't justify not doing it.

Absolutely!

Finding cures for Parkinson's, diabetes, genetic diseases that disable, heart disease, why would you not want that? The embryonic stem cells that are taken are from people that no longer want or are going to use them.

If you child was born and not able to walk due to a genetic disease but the stem cells you took from his placenta at birth were able to help him walk would you not be grateful?

Unfortunely, President Bush has rejected any form of stem cell research in the United States. Hopefully that will change!

I am not sure whether or not I support Stem Cell research. There are good arguments for both sides, it could save many lives but it also in some cases it is just taking lives.

I do support this research, as long as it involves stem cells that have already been obtained and if not used will be destroyed. When people do IVF, they generally prepare several embryos. If they are not used, they are destroyed. I would not support creating embryos for research. I'm not supportive of using cells obtained from aborted fetuses, as I am against abortion, and thus cannot support anything that stands to gain from this procedure.

I support stem research. What I don't support is using aborted fetuses. There has been promising research using adult stem cells recently. There are also stem cells in cord blood.

I am down with stem cell research as long as no one gets killed. Apparently there are ways of doing it that don't involve bad things happening to babies.

As long as abortion is legal, we will have aborted fetuses. If we can use these to cure or prevent disease then I'm for it. I am not in favor of abortion, but is is a legal option now. What I would oppose is ANY kind of payment to ANYONE for access to the fetus. If they are going to be destroyed anyway, why not put what we can to good use? They have already been aborted. The question is what to do now.

studies about stem cell regeneration are not fully accepted in the community although they are already accepted in medical community. they are actually good in helping cancer patients. if youve read about it, then you know what i mean..

not embryonic stem cell research. it has failed to prove to be of any promise, not to mention the morality of it.
