The Wheel, because pretty much every thing that goes on ,on this planet seems to "revolve" around the wheel.therefore making people too busy with too many things,and not busy eneough with "more important" things.
Take a couple of reams of paper,and see how very,many things you can list,that wouldn't function without a wheel being involved.
I think that if no wheels existed today, it would truly paralyze the world. Even our planet is basically ...a wheel!

I would feel the harmful gases which we have used in our refrigerators and AC's like CFC's and other poisonous gases for similar industrial use should never have been created.
The end cost is way to high!
I agree they are useful but the harms they have caused are to many to quantify and a little difficult to predict now because much of it is still to come...

Efficient and safe cold fusion. This would solve the energy supply problem in the world and put an end to many geopolitical hot-spots.
