OK, the album "Transatlanticism" by Death Cab For Cutie is amazing. Ben Gibbard has this really neat way of describing situations so it puts pictures in your head. Also, The Spill Canvas "One Fell Swoop" is a favorite of mine. I love lyrics that use similes and metaphors. Both of those bands are what society would like to call "Emo", I guess. Minus the Bear is a great band as well. Hope I helped a little. Check them out just for the hell of it...you might like what you hear :)

"Lucy in the Sky" by The Beatles has some great metaphors and imagery in it.

"Free as a Bird" by the Beatles is chock-full of similes.

"Blackbird" by the Beatles is one big metaphor; you would think that Paul is singing to a bird but it could be understood that he is singing to a person.
