You should never give cow milk to a baby under 12 months! 5 months is pretty young for baby food. Sounds like you need to find a formula that he can take without tummy upset. Did the pediatrician recommned this?

I don't know about you but when I am on certain meds eating is not on my top list of things to do. So the meds could be interfering. Also, he is right at the age of first teeth cutting. My boys always stopped eating their normal amount around this time. My 2 yo is getting his last molars and is eating about a sandwich a day....just remember a baby will eat when it's hungry it will not starve to death as long as your offering food. When he feels hungry or the pain is not so bad he will eat.
Personally it sounds like a lot of unnecessary things being done to a baby Gastric emptying ?? I have never heard of that for an infant. That can be stressful for his whole system.. Plus the formula changing so much is making a picky eater. IMHO

If he isn't underweight, I wouldn't panic. Sometimes babies go through growth spurts and need lots of food, and sometimes they don't need much. It can be teething and he doesn't want much milk, it can be he isn't growing this week. I am guessing the rice cereal in the bottle is for spit up? By now he should be able to have it with a bowl and spoon, but I would think that is somethign you already discussed with a doctor, so I'll skip that point. As long as he is getting in 18 ounces a day, and is not underweight (not below the 5th percentile - i.e. failure to thrive) then I wouldn't worry about it. Tylenol helps with teething pain, but doesn't eliminate it. It can certainly explain not wanting to drink as much right now. But all babies drool and gnaw on things at that age.

Maybe he doesn't care for the cereal and she would like pears or applesauce or bananas better. My nephew didn't like cereal or vegetables no matter how much I tried to get him to eat them. He still is a very, very picky eater to this day and he is 8 mounths old! He always like the fruits, juices, and his baby food, but never veggies or cereal. Kids are all so different. Good luck and try not to worry too much. Maybe he will come around with the food that you are giving him. If not then maybe he will love fruits and/or veggies.

This is perfectly fine, All babys have their own ways. Even though they cant talk of understand feelings, they still will defy you if they feel like it. When your baby is about 2, they probably be a perfect angel, but at about 3 1/2, they will start to defy you again.

Who decided to put him on whole milk? You or the doctor? How much does your son weigh now and is he throwing up? Is this your only child? How old are you? Is he still on a feeding tube? Was this a normal delivery? Is he tongue tied? Look in his mouth.
