There would be little hesitation in accepting that men have historically behaved more than a little worse than women. Why is it so impossible to accept that women are, on average, behaving a little worse than men these days? I never include the brutal men that are unreachable in my gender comparisons, I'm referring to the average relationship or marriage/divorce. Women could gain a lot more respect if they'd just admit to this. Women have and use way more power in their romantic relationships with men than vice versa, as they always have, but now also have power in legal and workplace situations. Most women haven't given up the more intangible powers they have over men, even though they've gained so much tangible power. Go on, deny this and demand facts and figures. I don't think there's much real denial going on, except with very young, idealistic women. The tendencies I describe (in most of my questions) are as well known as what weddings would be like if men were in charge of them.

Please note that I'm referring to the average man compared to the average women. I know that some men are more brutal than other men and almost all women.

I agree that my past romantic relationships have me quite bitter, but that doesn't really detract from the truth of what I'm saying. It says a lot about why I'm concentrating on it, but I know that already.

imme93, how refreshing. Your answer has satisfied me to the point that I'm going to leave women studies alone now.

This has been a very appropriate way for me to deal with my bitterness. I've come to understand that there are all types of women and all types of feminists.......and I know much better now the attitudes, rhetoric, and tendencies of those to avoid.

I guess ashleigh necessitates the need for me to explain what weddings would be like if men were in charge.....quick, dirty, and much less enjoyable.

in a sense we are worse then men. we hold grudges, demand power and respect without returning it, we're catty, usually cant keep things to ourselves and for some reason enjoy starting problems. Men on he other hand are (for the most part) laid back and just kind of go with the flow. And you're right anyone who denies this is kidding themselves. even in the workplace we want to be treated equal and then when we are we say its not good enough and we make men go to meetings about respecting others and it's annoying. you're totally right and I'm glad you posted this without seeming rude or arrogant about it.

You make some valid points. But don't forget that Women learned how to win by watching what Men did. And learning from that experience. Some Women still firmly believe that success is a matter adversarial assertion rather than impartial mertiocracy.
Even You could not get past the "Gender Jibe",could You? And there in lies the rub, for how can one talk about the need for a mutuality of understanding when the latent gender specific vilification is so close to the author's heart? Just feel free to inform Me ask to the number of weddings You have organized, rather than having been a mere participant?

This question is so vague as to be unanswerable, so I looked at your other questions to see if I could gain some insight into what you were talking about. Having done so, I have to agree with the first person who answered. You have just had some romantic relationships that didn't go well for you, and this is your highly inappropriate way of dealing with them. You need to go to a therapist and explain to them that your dating life has led you to transfer negative, hateful feelings toward the entire female gender and get some help. When you come up with some reasons why women are "worse" than men, other than your dates don't go well and you have to buy them dinner, I will take you more seriously.

You tell me - look up how much violence in the world is caused by men and how much by women?
Sounds like you're feeling disgruntled in a romantic relationship - get some counseling on how to behave like an adult, and you'll be able to find and cultivate an adult relationship. Then all these issues about women having power over you that you don't like will melt away, and you'll find that each person is an individual and stereotypes don't mean anything and are not helpful.

Indeed. "Holla" at imme and Super Ruper.
It's not hard for me to accept it, but I'm male. The reasons you listed are good reasons as to why *many,* if not most, females won't accept this truth. In addition to that, they are spoiled by society, parents, and popular culture.
Things like this are going to happen for a while. We'll figure out that we were fools eventually, though.
I hope.

I am happy to agree with you. I have found a general decline in the decency of women. They believe strongly that they are more intelligent...when in fact, its more accurate to say that they are more manipulative. They believe strongly that they can out think men, and use that to their advantage. As a woman myself, I can tell you that I am embarassed and ashamed by many of the women in our society today.
