No, I do not think there is a need to ban fat models.

Because I have never seen a fat model!

For too long, this country has preached and preached to little girls that you can't be TOO THIN.....THIN is supposedly beautiful SOOOO, thousands of girls and young women as well tried DANGEROUS ways to lose weight---some even becoming so dangerously thin that they DIED... up until recently, you didn't SEE large women modeling... it was ALWAYS only skinny, beautiful girls and women... Well, times have changed.... and if you were to REALLY look into the faces of the LARGER model, you would see that they TOO are beautiful, just bigger... I think that the larger models came to be as PROOF that you didn't have to be STICK THIN to be in that business... and yes, you are correct, obesity DOES kill or at least it CAN, and often DOES, make you sick and you COULD die---but so too does being too thin. It would be nice if there was a middle of the road, but just as in LIFE, there is no middle of the road either----banning LARGE models would ,in affect, be like banning EVERY LARGE PERSON, You'd be saying large people couldn't work, or ride buses or in cars or anything and that really wouldn't be fair....it would be like it was in the 60's and before when blacks were not ALLOWED to ride buses with whites or even drink from the same water fountains or use the same bathrooms.... it's just another form of prejudice and just like every OTHER form of prejudice, it is unfair... God help you if you become FAT later in life----be careful cause it COULD happen!!!!!!

Bulimia and anorexia kill also. Marilyn Monroe and a lot of the models of yesteryear had big hips and breasts but were not fat. That was the cultural perception of beauty. Now we're told that women with no hips and small breasts are the ones that are beautiful. I think it's really sad that young girls are obsessive about their weight and want to look like these "role models". I blame the industry though, not the models themselves. They are the ones perpetuating this sick cycle.

Read the papers lately? Some of the skinny ones are either dead or dying because of their diets! Maybe we should just find a happy medium! Have a great day! Annie

Name me ONE skinny model who has been banned. They can look like their knocking on deaths door and they are still considered "hot". Makes me sick. I think models should have a bit of meat on their dang bones. I have no desire to look like a flippin stick. I am a woman and want to look like a woman. THAT MEANS CURVES.
