It's fine. My Dr told me that if I wanted the coffee or soda or whatever I was craving was to give in to it but only have ONE, but he said the important thing was to follow up with a glass of water. So drink your coffee and have your water handy.
I drank 2 cups a day through my 2nd pregnancy and w/my 1st the only thing that quenched my thirst was a Big Gulp Pepsi...I drank the water just as much but had the caffeine, and my boys are both happy healthy and normal!!

Yes one cup should be fine. Below are a few sites and the answer varies on each one. I drank more than just a cup a day while pregnant but limited it in the third trimester and just one cup in the last month per day, and my child was fine. I have heard and seen low birth weights in children who's mother drank lots of caffeine during pregnancy. It also causes the child to come out very red not just pinkish, like when you wax your eyebrows red. Things you learn at the hospital =) I think it really matters on your overall health and if there is any potential concerns with your pregnancy. Each person is different. If it worries you then stop drinking coffee but ease off it so you don't get withdraw symptoms. Best wishes and congrats on the baby. May you be blessed.

Yes, but it’s best to not have more than that. Studies indicate that caffeine consumption of more than 150-300 milligrams a day (about 1½-3 cups of coffee) can put a pregnancy at higher risk. High caffeine consumption has been linked to an increased risk of having a low birth-weight baby and of miscarriage.
If you're having a hard time cutting out coffee cold turkey, here's how you can start:
Cut your consumption down to one or two cups a day.
Gradually reduce the amount by combining decaffeinated coffee with regular coffee.
Eventually cut out the regular coffee altogether

Yes, I just had a cup of regular coffee even though I hardly ever drink anything but water and decaf. Just don't drink more than 16 oz a day and you'll be fine.
A high rate of caffeine consumption is linked to miscarriage and possibly birth defects. The subject is still somewhat controversial as only high amounts of caffeine were studied, but to be safe, don't drink it all day long.

Look at it this way, there are nearly 300 million people in the USA today. One hundred years ago, there were 100 million people and none of them in the intervening 70 + years gave any thought to the question you've asked.
My grandmother drank coffee, so did my Mom and so did my wife. My daughter drank coffee and had two normal children who, by the way, both drink coffee. My daughter in law drank coffee by the bucket and had two perfectly normal children.
With all of the prenatal cautions that today's modern woman take, there are more birth defects than there ever have been.
Relax, enjoy, have a cup of coffee. Just not too much.

You can drink a cup of coffee a day while pregnant. You are just supposed to limit the amount of caffeine, so if you want more than that then I'd drink decaffinated.

*One* regular coffee isn't likely to hurt the baby at all. Just avoid large amounts of caffeine. If your body is craving something, there is usually a reason. If you are seriously concerned about it, talk to a medical professional first.

Yes and I'm sooo glad!! However, the rest of the day I drink caffeine free soda and water. The coffee is my treat (and is usually a frilly one from Starbucks!!) Yummy!!

I asked my doctor the same thing, and it's not safe. One cup of coffee after pregnancy won't affect your breast-milk. But its not safe for the baby. You could try buying this stuff at the store called Pero. It's naturally caffeine free and it tastes just like coffee. But don't drink coffee while pregnant.
