No, I haven't gotten any crappy Mother's Day gifts. They've all been thoughtful, and out of love.

On Mother's day in 2005, my daughter busted her head open on the coffee table and had to get 12 stitches. My husband bought me a diamond necklace that year, but I would have gladly given it back if it would have saved my kid getting hurt. Talk about a buzzkill.

I just wish I could have a baby. That would be enough for me. I am 26 and had to have a hysterectomy. It hurts to know that I will never have my own child unless I get rich and find a surrogate mother. I left one ovary for this reason. Love your child and them loving you back is the best gift you will ever have.

mother's day, christmas, birthday. my kids are grown now so i've told them to save their money.
i didn't say why. i know it's the thought that counts, but if i don't like the gift i'm not going to display/wear it and i truly won't appreciate it so they would be wasting their money. they're not rich so it would be a waste.

we would always give my mom breakfast in bed, give her a nice card, and clean the whole house for her; then again we were three girls so we would always help out. LAstly we would take her out to a restaurant so she wouldn't have to cook that day.
