There's lot of ways. Check to see what the emphasis is on in each of the descriptions, paintings, etc. Is it on the face or body? The hair or the legs? Is it sexual or is it neutral? Is it shown within a context or is it the focus of the picture itself? Are the characters doing something or simply posing? What else is going on and who else is in the representation? Is the figure standing, sitting or laying down? What colors are used and are the figures literal or romanticized?
