Hey, I agree with you. I will own up to drowning out the "thumpety boom" (c)rap with some Charlie Daniel's Band or Lynryd Skynyrd or Merle Haggard when I'm in an especially ornery mood when the dumb a s s e s pull up beside me at a red light playing that garbage. Sure do love it when that right there happens, then they look up at the chick in the silver 4x4 with Confederate flag bumper stickers and can't rightly figure out what's going on.

I agree, if there is a law then it should be enforced. It is noise pollution. I hate it when I have my family in the car and someone behind me is just..BUM...BUM..BUM.. I mean, c'mon, have some decency and turn it down for respect. They need to learn to respect other peoples right to peace.

Sadly I have to agree with this one. I think that maybe someone should make a list of "car audio" dos and don'ts. I used to work at a restaurant and whenever people pulled up to order they'd have their music blaring which made hard to hear. Then they'd get all upset because you ask them to turn it down. When they'd pull up to the window they'd have the music blaring again continuing to make it hard to understand them, me, or any other orders I might have been listening to.

We need some etiquette on that and also for cell phones dammit!!

I grew up in the country and in the summer I used to get woken up in the middle of the night by the music in cars passing by.

My question is, if it's loud enough to wake me up, how can they still hear their own thoughts?!?

I like it when they have a cheap as POS car and a big $$ system in thier car! Damn thing will even sound like they are driving a chain saw!

I like to drive my pretty red4X4 pick up truck next too em.. whith my lift kit and my Phat tires and slip in some of MY music and blast em out! :) They dont want to hear my tunes, why in the h*ll do I want to hear thiers?

I take comfort in knowing they will be deaf in a few years and still driving a POS!

Amen to that! My neighbors have grown kids who listen to that kind of music. And I just love it when they get home in the early morning hours and my whole household wakes up to that idiotic bump, bump, bump sound that shakes our windows. I'd like to find some kind of a hand held device that would shut down the car's computer. I'd carry it everywhere with me!!

Unless they have some serious hearing problems, they are doing it to be heard. I think they should be fined like someone caught throwing garbage out of a car.

As bad as the noise from my people is, I'm more offended by the idiotic, inconsiderate imitators from the suburbs. Sometimes I just want to whip out a grenade launcher and fire one at their thumpmobiles.

I just throw bricks or beer bottles at the assholes. If the police won't enforce the law on noise violation, they shouldn't give a damn about me littering.
