No gift at all.It saves me the embarrassment of having to look grateful and pretend to love it. I understand the point of "it's the thought that counts" but,what,you 'thought' I'd be happy with that crappy gift. It's never about the value of the gift,it's about whether I like it.

And to the person who thinks there are no really bad gifts- my mother in law gave her sister some slippers she made out of maxi pads. SERIOUSLY. Talk about gross! Chins hit the floor!

I believe it truly is the thought that is most important. I would gladly accept a 'bad' gift and appreciate it greatly...'cause it would mean that the person thought enough of me to get me anything at all.
