I'm 14 years old and have never taken a class of web design, what do you think? Is the content good? Is the design good? I'm trying to make a website that basically tells people that money isn't hard to come by, and there is quality in free stuff.

110% Welcome to suggestions!

Thanks and WILL pick a best answer.

I'd say your very ahead of the game for being only 14 years old and being able to get a website up and running with your own domain name.

Heres what I like:

1) I think its a cool idea that you want to inform people about easy ways to make money/enjoy free stuff.

2) I also like the headline of your website under your Logo.

3) I think your navigation at the top has the necessary buttons and you clearly know what you are clicking on before you actually get to the content.

4) The FAQ section is also nice as you know what you need to know after browsing through its categories.

Here's what I'm not big on:

1) The actual design looks outdated. It really looks like a site from the late 80s/ 90s. Its very boxy and plain. You could really let the design go wild with this site as you have alot of information to display. You've used CSS to create the website, which allows for a great control over the appearance of your site. However, it looks like it was designed with boxy tables and solid colors.

2) You have 2 navigations which have some of the same buttons in both. I really hate more than one naviation on a site. You really do not need to have a button for everything you think is important. I would ditch the white navigation on the left hand side. You already have a Contact and About Us button, you don't need them in both places. If you must, I would add one more button to your Main Navigation to cover information in the Payments, Guides, and Articles sections....if the information is not already covered elsewhere.

3) Your site is very cluttered. The Google Ads on the side, large headlines and all black type on your site makes it feel very flat, cluttered and hard to read. I would ditch the ads on the side, and create a nice two-column layout to break up your information into more manageable, readable areas. I think a nice background gradient or subtle image would help to not make the site look like a plain sheet of white paper.

4) The same content appears numerous times on the same page in some instances. You only need to tell people "GET PAID" once. When you keep putting the same words in a document over and over again, it'll turn off readers because your trying to "force them" to do something. Readers dont like this. Also, popular spidering search engines such as Yahoo and Google might ban your site because your repeating your Keywords over and over again. Your basically (intentionally or unintentionally) forcing the keywords to be recognized in browsers, but this can backfire and you could lose your site.

5) Your Contact page looks very shady. You talk about "doing business" with you like money is involved, when your running a FREE site. You have no other information on the page other than a simple form. Users are not going to want to put their information in there because it just looks suspicious. You need to rework that page and make it look more welcoming to customers. This is where the 2 column layout would benefit you greatly.

Pretty nice site, but I believe this is a violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines since it is basically advertising your site.
