My cold water works just fine, but when I switch over to hot water, it just trickles in. What could be the problem?

Check your valves to see that they are open. If its just one sink then it is probably the flex line from the valve to the faucet. Hot water tanks build up lime and calcium and your flex line may have build up. They are only like 8-10$. Just turn off the hot underneath the sink, remove it with a small wrench and then take it to the hardware store to get a match. Nothing big.
If it low pressure for hot water all through the house, then it could be a number of things..

Find the hot water heater in your house and turn on the water shut off on top of the heater, the one that goes toward your house...some one must have turned it off for some reason.

If the hot water works fine everywhere else in your home, then ckeck under the sink and turn that hot water valve on.

You may have build up in the pipes. If it is only one faucet, then that's where to look for the problem, if it's all the pipes, then you need to look at the main hot water line from the water heater. good luck

A plumber once told me that water heaters need to be backflushed twice a year to help remove lime and sediment buildup in the unit and pipes. Have you ever backflushed your water heater? Could be a sediment problem in the pipes leading to your sink...

Check under your sink..each water line has a valve. Maybe your hot water valve isn't opened all the way.
