This is really a question, not about how many licks, but about what kind of licks, and what sort of person licks in a particular way, and what that says about them and the society in which they exist. Also, about the willpower required not to bite, pre-tootsie roll.

Well, it takes about 10 minutes for me to lick my way through to the center as long as I don't cheat and attempt to gnaw my way through.
At an average of one lick every 1.5 seconds that equals approximately 400 licks to get to the center. ;-)

i dont know but it depends how long each lick is and how much flavor you take out each time!
